Introducing our NEW Executive Director

The North Carolina Preservation Consortium is pleased to announce the appointment of Ellie East as our new Executive Director. Ms. East is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in the non-profit and museum sector. She has a strong focus on long-term planning strategies and accessibility, and her true passion is community outreach and engagement. Her work history has involved cultivating public programs, caring for and storing artifacts, and managing special event operations. She holds an MFA in Fine Art and Museum Studies from Ohio University and a Bachelor of Science in Art from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse.

In her free time, she enjoys visiting historically significant sites, studying archival materials, and volunteering within her community. Her love for history and culture also takes her to old cemeteries, where she can often be found taking rubbings from gravestones.

NCPC is absolutely thrilled to bring her onboard as the new Executive Director. Welcome, Ellie!
